The Consultation on Copyright in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence is open to all individuals and organizations. Canadians are asked to review the copyright policy considerations detailed in the consultation paper in light of their most recent experience with generative artificial intelligence (AI). The feedback received will help to inform copyright policy about AI.

Responses to most questions in the consultation survey are optional, allowing you to select key questions and focus your time on the areas of your greatest interest or expertise. The consultation survey will be open for feedback until January 15, 2024.

This online questionnaire is being used in order to facilitate transparency and the widest possible participation from Canadians while ensuring compliance with the government's obligations under the Accessible Canada Act. All responses will be published and attributed to the participant(s) in an accessible format. Please note that submissions received in another format will not form part of the official consultation record, although they may be reviewed by departmental officials.

We thank you in advance for your important contribution. If you encounter any difficulties in responding to the survey or require accommodation, please contact Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's Public Opinion Research team.
